• APPLIANCE REPAIRS.  Stewart & Young.    www.stewartandyoung.co.uk   Have repaired our washing machines over many years.

• LEATHER REPAIRS:   Richmond Leatherworks.  www.richmondleatherworks.co.uk.     Repaired a handbag and I could not see the mend.                                                                                                    

• METAL WORKS           R & G Metal.   172 Colne Road, Twickenham. TW2 6RE    Years ago they built our garden railings - still standing!

• SEWING & REPAIRS   Everything about stitch   www.everythingaboutstitch.co.uk.  Shortened sleeves of a coat and have taken up trousers, really skilful and friendly.

• SHARPENING:              Blade Sharpener.    www.blade-sharpener

• SHOE REPAIRS:           Berts Shoe Repairs. 57 Broad Street, Teddington. TW11 8QZ.             Did a great job repairing my leather sandals.

• SHOE REPAIRS:           Bonjour Dry Cleaners,  34 London Road, Twickenham TW1 3RR.    Soled my favourite boots beautifully.
